What Have We Learned? Local Systemic Change Initiatives Share Lessons From The Field

In June 2000, NSF sponsored a meeting for Local Systemic Change projects to reflect on their successes and on-going challenges. Held in Washington, DC and coordinated by Horizon Research, Inc. (HRI), this "Lessons Learned" conference included representatives from 30 LSCs. The LSC staff in attendance discussed lessons about about designing professional development, preparing professional development providers, supporting implementation of instruction materials, engaging administrators, and sustaining reform. The report summarizes the findings from this conference.
